eMergence Systems & Solutions, a developer of business software solutions recently did a company and product presentation to local distribution, wholesale and retail establishments in the city. The company itself is an IT company based in Zamboanga City, one of a handful that operate locally as a professional information technology concern. Indeed one of the important value propositions is that system maintenance support will be available from the local systems developer – this means that fast response and reliable support will be available to local companies, thereby maximizing usage of the system and protecting their investment in technology.

In the company presentation, General Manager of eMergence Systems and Solutions Mr. Louell G. Saavedra, mentioned his passion to utilize his many years of experience as an IT consultant in creating a software development and consultancy firm that was based in Zamboanga City, his birthplace. Now on the 3rd year of its operations, the company boasts of a client portfolio of 46 companies with the software up and running in 64 client sites, but which will swell to 97 locations by the time on-going projects are done before the year ends. While most of the clients are in Zamboanga City, the company has already implemented its systems in the cities of Iligan, Cagayan De Oro, General Santos and Davao. The team did a demo of some system versions for its discerning, but very engaging audience. It was meant to showcase some selected features such as multiple cashier and sales order-taking terminal support, warehouse to branch integration, easy credit account and instalment handling, fast sales order to invoice processing, and seamless multi-branch data updating. It was also emphasized that these systems are customized in order to be highly suitable and effective to individual company needs, and all done right here without sending the jobs to other parties outside the city.
